In Vangelo di questa XVIII domenica Ordinary Time, Gesù condanna la cupidigia o avarizia, dunque l’accumulazione smodata di beni. Un tema che può sembrare lontano da noi piccoli e medi lavoratori. L’accumulazione non riguarda solo beni e tesori legati al denaro o alle proprietà. Questa è stata l’esperienza di Jordan Belfort, broker e imprenditore finanziario, la cui storia è stata raccontata anche nel film del 2013, Il lupo di Wall Street. All’inizio della sua carriera inizia con investimenti e guadagno truffaldini, con un legame sempre più disordinato e viziato verso il denaro. Questo lo porterà a distruggere completamente la propria vita riducendolo alla dipendenza dalla droga e alla distruzione dei i propri amici e affetti, fino al carcere.

Oggi Gesù vuole offrirci questo insegnamento, lo dice chiaramente in questa pericope:

«Fate attenzione e tenetevi lontani da ogni cupidigia perché, anche se uno è nell’abbondanza, la sua vita non dipende da ciò che egli possiede».

La vita di ognuno di noi non dipende dal bene-denaro. Ma dipende dal bene primario ed essenziale che è Dio. È Lui che, se ci affidiamo, ci dona tutti gli altri beni e i mezzi per giungere al fine ultimo: la Santità e l’incontro eterno con Lui in Paradiso. Per chiarire questo il Signore racconta la parabola dell’uomo ricco e della sua campagna. Qui richiama di nuovo alla dipendenza reale che abbiamo da Dio, che decide sulla nostra vita e sulla nostra morte. Ma ancora di più: in this parable Jesus says a much stronger phrase, taking up the ending of his narration:

True wealth to which we are all called is then the wealth in God. A wealth that does not accumulate by shopping on Amazon, playing on the stock market, or buying real estate. It is the wealth of those who truly have and are filled with the presence and grace of God.

Jesus does not ask us to live as miserable, like poor people looking for a pauperistic form in which misery is our aim. Una ricchezza spirituale che si ottiene per dono gratuito, quando cresciamo nella preghiera e nella meditazione: questo è il tesoro della dottrina insegnata da Gesù che conduce ogni nostra vita. Ottenuto allora tutto questo, il Signore non ci farà mancare anche gli altri beni materiali.

As a priest I lived and studied in Germany and when we say the German Catholic Church, I think I know a little about what we are talking about. I wrote about it in alarmed tones in the now distant 2011 in my book And Satan became triune, narrating how advanced was the state of Protestantization of the Catholic Church in many regions of Northern Europe, stating that a de facto schism was in progress that only needed to be made official. For this thanks to the deceptions of the Jesuits of the Pontifical Gregorian University, loving grandchildren of Karl Rahner, which had inevitably on the Supreme Pontiff Paul VI - revealed in this naive - the Roman School was destroyed, whose center was the Pontifical Lateran University, with great and extraordinary theologians of the caliber of Pietro Parente, Antonio Piolanti, Pier Carlo Lad … all reduced to silence in the "glorious" period of the post-council dialogue in the 1970s. The last exponent of the Roman School was Antonio Livi (cf.. WHO). A decade later, Paul VI himself, he complained and feared that "the smoke of Satan has entered the temple of God through some crevice" (full text WHO). I wonder why, above all: who threw open the doors to him?

History teaches that the barbaric spirit always survives in the anthropological memory of the German people. In the season of synodal drunkenness this phase has also begun in Germany, before the opening of which I said that the result would be attacks on Catholic doctrine and the deposit of faith that would make Martin Luther pale, let's not forget he was Catholic. Heretic, but Catholic. Most of the bishops, of German priests and faithful, Catholics have not been so for some time, they were not really born there and as such they were not formed and raised, while Luther did, lo fu. Those who are improperly defined as "German Catholics" are for the most part Christians who are much more affected by Luther and above all by Calvin, instead of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Never open Pandora's boxes in Germany, because giving them a synod will end up producing the best of the worst of their never-dormant Romanophobic spirit.

Now the Holy See laments and publicly declares that the initiative underway in Germany "has no power to force bishops and faithful to new ways of governing and new approaches to doctrine and morals" [cf.. Applying certain logics we could question, vote by majority and abolish various precepts of the Holy Gospel, because, according to many, they no longer conform to the present times and the needs of the contemporary world. Exactly what tragic is happening with this local German Synod, where with all the worst arrogance a horde of sour feminists are allowing themselves to discuss what the Church just cannot discuss, because he has no authority to do so. Not only and not so much they demand the questioning of the legitimacy of the priesthood to women, blessings to gay and lesbian couples who decide to "get married" justifying everything with an unspecified “love”, because what they are actually claiming is that the Church declares that what it has hitherto considered mortal sin is in truth good, therefore that you declare that you have erred in retrograde spirit by making amends and not even opening the doors, but literally spreading the legs.

Then we want to add more, admitted it is lawful to say it clearly and truthfully without being overwhelmed by complaints from the radical circles LGBT? I note that the feminist theologians who for years have been setting fires and flames in the little Catholic that remains in various countries of Northern Europe, for the most part they are full-blown lesbians and many live with their partners. Only a double agent like Cardinal Reinhard Marx Metropolitan Archbishop of München - who until the first ten days of February of 2013 he was more Ratzingerian than Benedict XVI, except to become more Bergoglian than Francis I three months later - he could allow such tomboys to create disorder and disturbance within the German Church by giving them space, voice and a stage of release during a synod. Today, the needs of gay and lesbian couples who want to marry between man and man are quite different, between woman and woman, claiming the approval and blessing of the Church, or the triumphal baptism of babies purchased from so-called rented wombs, with all the gotha LGBT lined up in the church, not because he is interested in anything about Holy Baptism, but to exploit a sacrament for the sole purpose of demonstrating that he has bent Catholicism to its own moral disorders, or worse to their aberrations, as in the case of babies commissioned to so-called rented uteri. Because God was wrong to create only male and female without foreseeing the other variants, likewise Jesus Christ was wrong to confer the priesthood only on men, rather, perhaps he was also a bit misogynist. But what kind of Almighty and Omniscient he is, this clumsy God the Creator so devoid of future prospects? Luckily there is a compact group of German lesbian theologians ready to correct him in the context of this Synod.

I couldn't resist curiosity to go and look in the various social media in the last two days the story linked to Mattia Bernasconi, an Ambrosian presbyter. Well believe me, based on the results obtained, I've really seen all the colors: a finished and finished Court of Miracles, chock full of dwarfs and dancers, of convinced heretics, of confused believers, of avid censors, of public defenders and vilified virgins up to the purest justicialists and compulsive guarantors of Catholic doctrine. The same thing I could see by going to google on some search engines the case of the "Missa aquatica", as it was nicely renamed by the magazine The New Compass Daily.

So I decided to write some considerations regarding that I wish to share with the Readers de The Island of Patmos. Having had the opportunity to metabolize the whole story, putting her in prayer, I also had the time to identify myself in the person of the young Ambrosian presbyter Mattia Bernasconi who is worthy of blame yes, but not of media lynching. I am therefore convinced that today there is an obvious one, real and objective problematic in the theological formation of the clergy. Yup, dear Readers, the true wound it is not that of celibacy and the priestly pant, more or less visible indication of a promised but not kept chastity. The only, the only real problem is that priests no longer know what they are celebrating and therefore no longer know what they believe in: "Understand what you do, imitate what you celebrate, conform your life to the mystery of the cross of Christ the Lord ", exhorts the bishop when he consecrates a presbyter. None of this is more evident.

The most immediate consequence of this theological amnesia is given by the loss of one's own priestly identity which leads to experiencing different human drifts, even those linked to a human sexuality that is no longer ordered to love and the good of God is degraded. And when sexuality is no longer ordered to good, takes over and controls the person, in the most depressing forms that we know well. However, it is useful to remember that falling against the sixth commandment for a priest is a much less serious thing than what can be done by falling against the first commandment., against that mystery of God who reveals himself in the Eucharist and of which the priest is the custodian and privileged administrator.

For all those who … "Oh my God! But that priest has a lover, has a son, fell into masturbation, took a nude selfie "they would do well to remember that this is not the only sin to be sorry for, something that for the bishops themselves appears unbecoming, ready to dissociate with immediate diocesan communications, only to justify with tooth and nail the priests affiliated with anticlerical associations, propagators of the most porcine anti-human policies and who have made the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ the Great Charter of the most moneyed globalist and globalist NGO.

When we don't feel the need to be scandalized, in the evangelical sense of the term, for the visible sacramental realities widely mistreated with the alibi of the pastoral care of proximity; when we are happy with a Sunday Mass celebrated in 15 minutes; when we do not feel discomfort for a mocked and mortified confession in its sacredness, it is not even permissible for us to point the finger at the chastity of a priest whose heart and weaknesses only God knows and understands.

Clarified this point, I don't think Mattia Bernasconi acted out of wickedness or out of luciferian bad faith, however, he certainly acted out of evident theological ignorance and a mortified priestly sloppiness. And we say all this not following a personal judgment on the facts but from what he himself said and affirmed to the Corriere della Sera journalist who interviewed him., highlighting the fact that the problem of the Mass. And it doesn't take long to understand that when Holy Mass becomes a problem we have reached a fairly serious tipping point. It becomes a problem in the summer when I am on vacation and I would like to dedicate myself to doing what I like. It becomes a problem when it's too hot and I don't want to wear a coat, amice, the track, the stole and the chasuble. It becomes a problem when I have to undergo uncomfortable times to be able to celebrate it or I have to go to a distant church. It becomes a problem when temporal realities and human values ​​appear more important than the realities of heaven that the Holy Mass sums up in itself. You understand now why the Western Catholic priesthood is slowly changing its form into a form of social welfare? You understand now why a priest today has more advantages in becoming a psychologist, politico, trade unionist, social educator, compared to what it really is, that is, man of the sacred who leads to the sacred? He is looking for that immediate and fulfilling satisfaction which he is unable to find in the divine mysteries [See. Robert Sarah, For eternity, meditations on the figure of the priest, Cantagalli, 2022, p.195-214].

Dear brother priests and dear lay faithful, let's remember one thing well: the Sacrament of the Eucharist and its institution never deviates from the sacrament of Holy Orders and its institution. So much so that it is not risky to paraphrase that medieval axiom relaunched by Henri de Lubac which says that "the Church makes the Eucharist and the Eucharist makes the Church" in "The Eucharist makes the priest and the priest makes the Eucharist". Without the priest in the Church there is no Eucharist but without the Eucharist the priesthood cannot stand up.

When a priest, who should have done at least six years of theological and philosophical study, does not come to understand that Holy Mass cannot and must not be celebrated with the conditions and provisions that we have seen in the sea of ​​Crotone the problem exists but does not concern only the presbyter. The problem is also the seminary he attended and the theological faculty that formed him. The problem lies with his bishop, of his spiritual father, of his confessor. In the present case we do not seem to recall reactions on the part of S. E. Mons. Mario Delpini archbishop of Milan, who should have at heart the ongoing formation of his clergy by preventing such incidents, maybe take note that something did not go the right way. Instead, from the Church of Milan, no word has reached us about the Crotone accident other than the re-proposal of the embarrassing one note which first appeared on the site of the diocese of Crotone-Santa Severina. I think S should also ask himself some problems. E. Mons. Angelo Raffaele Panzetta, archbishop of Crotone, that with loving paternal charity and pastoral zeal he should have told Mattia Bernasconi: «Son, until we have the guarantee that you have understood the sacrilegious gesture made towards the Most Holy Eucharist, you in the diocesan territory are no longer welcome, go back to your bishop who will be able to show you the right penance in order to recover your confusion of faith and your identity ". But that would be asking too much, an abundance of grace that we are not allowed to see. Unfortunately, we no longer have the courage to exceed for God, for his glory as they used to say in the time of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, today the Holy Mass is smart, as it is smart the Catholic priesthood, if this is true we are certainly lost.

As I finished writing this third chapter of the story of the Mass in Crotone, come the public apology from Mattia Bernasconi published on the website of the San Luigi Gonzaga Parish and reported in various newspapers (who, who, who). This is undoubtedly something worthy and to be appreciated, in the most sincere and fraternal hope that this admission of responsibility is motivated only by sincere regret for the contempt for the sacrifice of the Holy Mass and not by the media fuss that has affected the whole affair. I am very grateful to the Lord and to Mattia Bernasconi for this conversion which must be accepted in the fullest and most integral way. Just as full and integral is the mercy that the Church shows towards her children when they make mistakes and repent, be they lay people or priests. But at the same time I wonder: how come the Prosecutor of the Republic of Crotone felt the need to open a file against the Milanese priest for outrage against the Catholic religion? These measures are not so frequent in very Catholic Italy. Although the Italian Criminal Code provides in art. 403 the pecuniary penalty for anyone who publicly offends the religion of the State or a religious denomination or one of its ministers, why Mattia Bernasconi, Ambrosian presbyter, he is the only one to have paid the price?

Dear Mattia, perhaps the problem is not so much the reckless gesture that you ignorantly made towards the Holy Mass, but your being a priest which at the present is extremely annoying and who is on the wrong side of history. Remember this when the storm is over: Christ continues to renew his trust in you, this is clear enough to you to go on and become a holy priest. About everything else, including those who defended or attacked you, remember that they did it because they did not see in you the man of God but only a weak category to be used as a kleenex without the danger of risking anything. And maybe this, of this whole affair, it is the aspect on which we should meditate more seriously, you like all of us your brothers, united to you in eternal and indissoluble kinship by the redeeming blood of Christ.

Puntuale come il film Una poltrona per due la sera del 24 December, è giunto il comunicato dell’Arcidiocesi di Crotone-Santa Severina (cf.. who) all’indomani della notizia della Santa Messa celebrata in mare, su un materassino gonfiabile e in costume da bagno dal presbitero Mattia Bernasconi della parrocchia San Luigi Gonzaga di Milano.

Già dal titolo del comunicato Riscoprire la bellezza dei Simboli Liturgici – è facile intuire che la pezza, as usual, si riveli peggiore dello strappo. E in effetti se leggiamo il testo con attenzione non fatichiamo a classificare questa difesa d’ufficio come la più classica delle supercazzole alla Ugo Tognazzi.

Anzitutto discutibile è la sottolineatura in apertura del comunicato diocesano. Non si considera minimamente la gravità del fatto che cioè, una Santa Messa sia stata ridicolizzata e assimilata al pari di un intrattenimento da villaggio vacanze anni Ottanta, preoccupandosi solo di ribadire la «bellezza e la serietà dell’esperienza vissuta da questi giovani, che hanno scelto il nostro territorio per impegnarsi in un campo di volontariato e interrogarsi sul tema della legalità».

You have understood, rigidi dogmatici e liturgisti frenici, whited sepulchres, tutti pizzi e merletti della nonna? L’importante è avere fatto fare a questi ragazzi una esperienza civile forte, averli saputi educare alla legalità e all’impegno civico e non già alla partecipazione consapevole del mistero eucaristico, cosa che ci si auspicherebbe per dei giovani provenienti da una parrocchia di Milano e non già da una sezione provinciale dello Uar. Ma lasciamo perdere queste pretese da cristiani rigidi e dal collo storto.

Voi bigotti messaioli avete l’obbligo di aggiornarvi e di capire che il nuovo kerigma che oggi va per la maggiore nella Chiesa è la valorizzazione dei diritti civili sul territorio. La riscoperta, maybe, delle risorse locali ed enogastronomiche. Poco importa se poi, in nome degli altissimi valori civili, si cade dentro a una violazione palese del deposito della fede, della normativa liturgica e canonica della Chiesa, forse con scandalo dei semplici, di coloro cioè che ancora credono e partecipano a una Santa Messa con devozione così come domineddio l’ha pensata.

Quello che conta è essere stato lo strumento che ha permesso l’esperienza forte a questi rampolli della chiesa di Milano cosa questa «da apprezzare e di cui esserne grati». E allora anche noi ci uniamo a questo civilissimo coro di gratitudine e diciamo: «Grazie Signore grazie, Signore graaazieeee (cf.. who)».

Ancora con il giubilo nel cuore e il tremore tra le labbra, a mani basse come chi sa di essere stato vinto e superato, mi permetto timidamente di suggerire all’Arcidiocesi di Crotone-Santa Severina delle idee pastorali per la prossima aggregazione estiva giovanile. Anzitutto l’organizzazione di alcuni rave party didattici per ragazzi dai 15 to the 25 year old. Rave – chi siamo noi per dubitare che nei rave party non si possa trovare anche qualcosa di buono? –in cui giovani si sentano spinti a potenziare le loro skills di socializzazione e al contempo essere introdotti alla conoscenza e allo studio pratico delle sostanze psicotrope più comuni sul territorio – magari in collaborazione con il dipartimento di tossicologia e azzardando il patrocinio di qualche nucleo antidroga – cosa senz’altro utile in previsione di una ipotetica futura carriera universitaria in Chimica e tecnologie farmaceutiche o di un arruolamento tra le forze di polizia.

Nello specifico proporrei anche l’allestimento di alcuni gazebi attorno a dei falò atti alla degustazione di qualche buon prodotto enogastronomico della regione che aiuti le imprese agricole in difficoltà a ritrovare i propri spazi e la fiducia in sé stesse partendo dall’utilizzo di materiali green a zero impatto ambientale per rispettare sorella madre terra, a partire da quelle straordinarie bombe che sono le salse calabresi ai peperoncini piccantissimi da lasciare senza fiato.

Con un programma estivo del genere, ne siamo sicuri, non ci sarà più bisogno neanche di celebrare la Santa Messa o di pregare per avere un’esperienza forte di Dio, because all, vuoi per le sostanze psicotrope vuoi grazie a un buon Cirò Rosso DOC, saranno certamente in grado di essere profeti e di avere visioni meglio di come fecero, al tempo di Mosè, Eldad e Medad [cf.. Nm 11,25-29].

.

Ma andiamo avanti. Proseguendo la lettura del comunicato, non si può che condividere che la liturgia, così come ogni celebrazione dei divini misteri della Chiesa, consta di gesti e di simboli che è giusto rispettare e valorizzare. Ma il comunicato – o l’estensore del comunicato – sembra omettere la conseguenza che un tale rispetto e valorizzazione implica – cosa che nel magistero della Chiesa appare limpido e cristallino sia per la Sacrosanctum Concilium that for the Sacramentum – e cioè che la celebrazione della Messa, in quanto azione di Cristo e della Chiesa, non è un patrimonio ad usum privato del prete, il quale non può, on its own initiative, to add, togliere o mutare alcunché in materia liturgica e sacramentale. E questo vale sia per quanto riguarda la parte materiale che formale del Santo Sacrificio. Proprio il ricorso all’espressione conciliare per ritus et preces [cf.. SC 48] dovrebbe suscitare nell’estensore della nota diocesana una giusta venerazione per l’intero complesso del diritto liturgico della Chiesa che nel caso di specie costituisce un evidente illecito che deve essere corretto quanto prima utilizzando la virtù teologale della carità che è sempre compresa, avvalorata e praticata nella luce della verità che non può essere negata [cf.. Benedict XVI, Lettera enciclica Charity in truth, NN. 1-2, 29].

E qual è la verità? La verità è che un prete non può celebrare in quelle condizioni che non sono neanche lontanamente ammissibili dentro un bar di uno stabilimento balneare, dove il buongusto civico e l’etichetta del gestore impone agli avventori di mettersi almeno la maglietta per andare a consumare al bancone.

.

La verità implica che anche nei casi particolari previsti dal Codice di Diritto Canonico, dove si sottolinea la prerogativa della sporadicità e non già dell’ordinarietà [See. can. 932 §1 e 2 CIC in Commento al Codice di Diritto Canonico a cura di Mons. Pio Vito Pinto, LEV, 2001 e Commento giuridico pastorale al Codice di Diritto Canonico di Luigi Chiappetta, EDB 2011], le celebrazioni eucaristiche (anche quelle vacanziere e dei campi scuola) siano celebrate in modo consono, in luoghi curati, decorosi e rispettosi della sacralità del sacrificio pasquale del Cristo che in esso vi si celebra. Domando pertanto ai canonisti più colti e preparati del sottoscritto se la particolarità e l’eccezionalità prevista del canone can.932 §1 e 2 si applica ai picchi termici italiani, cosa questa che sembra aver orientato la scelta della messa in mare celebrata dal presbitero Mattia Bernasconi (cf.. who). Ricordo ancora ai fedeli, quelli più distratti e ingenui, che Crotone si trova in Italia, dove c’è ancora la Chiesa Cattolica romana. Questo chiarimento geografico è utile per evitare confusioni di sorta, se mai qualcuno pensasse di vivere in Gallia al tempo di Giulio Cesare tra i Druidi, cosa che autorizzerebbe allora a cercare come luogo celebrativo non una chiesa, ma un bosco di querce, una pianta di vischio o le rive di un lago.

Se lo stupore è parte essenziale dell’atto liturgico, di certi stupori noi sacerdoti antiquati e fedeli rigidi ne avremmo fatto volentieri a meno. Suggerisco ai venerabili vescovi e ai rettori dei seminari di curare particolarmente bene la formazione liturgico-sacramentale dei futuri sacerdoti delle loro zone, forse più attenti a depilarsi le sopracciglia in modo scolpito come le signorine, anziché studiare l’Ordinamento Generale del Messale Romano. Cosa che permetterà un sano senso pastorale affinché ci sia risparmiato per l’avvenire l’imbarazzo e lo stupore di dover lasciare a malincuore simili celebrazioni e sacerdoti per far rotta verso altri lidi.

Affidiamo ai Monaci Certosini della storica e antica Certosa calabrese di Serre San Bruno una adeguata preghiera di riparazione, alla quale si uniranno quelle di noi Padri de The Island of Patmos.

«The Church makes the Eucharist and the Eucharist makes the Church» is a simple medieval theological concept that surely H.E. Mons. Mario Delpini, archbishop of Milan and successor of Saint Ambrose, will know more than well. Perhaps, however, this medieval maxim escaped its presbyter Mattia Bernasconi who made public mockery and outrage of the mass in Crotone in the locality of Alfieri-Scifo.
