MERCY AND ETERNAL CONDEMNATION. BETWEEN THE CAPPUCCINO OF MERCY AND OF ANONYMOUS CORNETTI
.
The reduction of justice to mercy, they forge entrambe. We report as an example of this unfortunate confusion some statements made by Raniero Cantalamessa in the sermon of the last Good Friday 2016, pronounced in St. Peter's Basilica: «The justice of God is the act by which God makes just, his graditi, those who believe in his Son. It's not doing justice, but doing things right. Luther had the merit of bringing this truth to light, after that for centuries, at least in Christian preaching, the meaning had been lost. It is for this above all that Christianity is indebted to the Reformation.". Faced with these words one might say: «The abomination of desolation in the holy place!».

the cappuccino of mercy in the shadow of anonymous croissants …
Raniero Cantalamessa's serious mistake consists in the claim to define in a way general divine justice as if it were always only mercy, deriving completely incorrectly, with an illicit extrapolation, from the famous passage of the Letter to the Romans [3,21], where Saint Paul actually presents divine mercy as "justice", a false coincidence SIC et simpliciter between justice and mercy, denying the value of justice.
.
Cantalamessa, showing a specious exegesis, it doesn't take into account the fact that it is solo in that step there is identity of meaning. But in a thousand other steps of Scripture is very clear difference between justice and mercy […]

Venerable brother priest and eminent theologian,
I'm sure, in the shadow of my suns 36 years and my suns 4 years of priestly ministry, than when I'm old (if by the grace of God I get to be one), I'll be one of those, and perhaps of those not a few priests, who will be very grateful, men of God like you, for supporting us with your words and sound doctrine, but also giving us an example with your courage (I am referring to the two Fathers of the Island of Patmos) … courage, yours, which is no small thing, and which for this reason arouses admiration, perhaps especially in us priests.
Rev. Dad,
She rightly notes the seriousness of the statements “deviant” of Cantalamessa in the first place, and then Bianchi. It's not the first time this has happened, other authoritative theologians have highlighted similar things, repeated anomalies. They are two people carried in the palm of your hand, authoritative, with official positions in the Vatican. The one Preacher of the Papal Household – appointed by the Pope Emeritus and reconfirmed by Francis – the other pseudo prior-theologian, pontifical consultor, who usually gives homilies and lectios in various Italian dioceses, often present in the Osservatore Romano, on Avvenire, on the “good print” and which from today is hosting the CEI conference on churches in Bose “Views from outside”.
But then they are bad or good teachers? Yes for some, not for others, or viceversa, It depends on the person being asked. How can this dilemma exist, disarming? This is what it means when today's Church is defined as liquid, multifaceted?
This seems like a jarring contradiction to me,Difficult to understand, easy to distinguish.
E’ due to the internal divisions of the Catholic Church if these events occur and they allow themselves not to denounce heresies, if not true fathers as the author of the article. The important thing is to be in brotherly peace. Now it is more important to physically help humanity, in his vices and sinful weaknesses; mercy at this time is a raging river, He is flooding its banks and wonder: ” the leaders of the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church are ready to act on the locks to contain the flooding”? John wrote to the angel of the Church of Laodicea in the Apocalypse” These things says the amen, the faithful and true witness, the principle of things created by God. I have known thy works, as neither cold, neither hot: oh it was cold or, or hot: but because you are lukewarm, and neither cold, neither hot, I'll start vomiting you out of my mouth.
Nobody talks, everyone is petrified, only on blogs complaint and light threads, criticism. There is the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith? On these cases, why not intervenes and corrects errors perpetrated, denying and reiterating the absolute truth? For case…….. they use the motto “Who am I to judge?”
Christ Kingdoms!
Thanks to Father Cavalcoli and thanks to the Lord for having done a little’ of light on the relationship between justice and mercy, It was really necessary these days.
But the reason for my comment is because of some statements that particularly caught my attention, are the following: “At death, in which the soul separates from the body, God offers Himself clearly for the last time as an object of choice. For the last time He offers his saving mercy. E’ l’ultima chance. If mercy is refused, justice remains, that is, damnation. At this point, the soul can choose with total certainty… unlike what happened in earthly life, during which, for the darkness of existence and the oscillation of the will, he could always question the choice he made”. E’ It is possible to have some insight into these statements? From what can they be deduced? What are the sources of Scripture and Tradition that authorize them? What is that “the moment of death”? What does it mean “God offers himself clearly”, the person sees God?…
Thanking you for your attention and for the work done, I cordially greet you…
Dear Ettore, these words
“At death, in which the soul separates from the body, God offers Himself clearly for the last time as an object of choice. For the last time He offers his saving mercy. It’s the last chance. If mercy is refused, justice remains, that is, damnation. At this point, the soul can choose with total certainty... unlike what happened in earthly life, during which, for the darkness of existence and the oscillation of the will, could always question the choice made".
They are the only ones that allow Justice and Mercy to be reconciled. In fact, as Father Cavalcoli explained well, only those foolish and obstinate enough to reject God even face to face will be damned.
Therefore hell exists and is not empty, but there are reasonable hopes of not ending up there, since none of us - I think- before God he will tell him “go away, you don't need me, I don't want you”.
Even someone like Pannella, under these conditions, I really think he was able to save himself, because I don't believe that in the face of the Supreme Good he wanted to reject it. That's why we can say that “God's Justice is his…
We can say that “God's Justice is Mercy” because He does not condemn anyone but offers everyone the opportunity to purify themselves in Purgatory (seeing “nothing impure will enter heaven” cit.).
His Mercy is therefore always thanks to Him, and the men who will be judged according to Justice and not according to Mercy will be those who explicitly reject Mercy even before God. For them there will be Justice, or damnation, but not to satisfy a vengeance from God, but because they themselves choose it.
Father Ariel or Father Cavalcoli tell me if and where I did something wrong, please.
Let me start by saying that I also want to understand Mr. Achille. Therefore all souls, at the moment of passing to another life,in the evident presence of the Lord, they recognize that He exists and follow the indication of Purgatory. Too simplistic! In the dialogue with Nicodemus John 3 Jesus speaks: of water and Spirit to enter the Kingdom; who must be raised so that those who believe in Him have eternal life; to believe in the Only Begotten Son so as not to be condemned, while condemnation is for those who have not believed. In John 5 it is Jesus who judges according to what he hears from the Father(the Trinity) and reiterates that His Judgment is right according to the Will of the Father. Therefore, it is in Jesus Christ if we could save ourselves that day in reconciling ourselves with the Father, through His Gospel,His Truth. Jesus, i S. Evangelists, the letters of the Holy Apostles,St. Paul and in the Apoc. of S.Giovanni, warn against those who, infiltrating as disciples, influence the masses to achieve other goals that discredit and pervert the Christian Faith (heretics). There is talk of "Synagogues of Satan",of “whitewashed tombs”,of conspiracies in the last years of Jesus' life and above all in the letters of St. Paul.
Christ Reigns Now and…
God does not offer purgatory to everyone, but salvation. Only those who die in grace go to purgatory, but they must serve a temporal punishment due to pardoned venial sins, but not duly atoned for.
Divine mercy does not imply any merit in God. Merit is not a divine act, but of the creature. To deserve, indeed, an action must be performed in front of a superior in favor of that superior, so as to receive compensation or a reward for the work performed. Now it is clear that God has no superior, but he is the superior who repays according to merit. God rewards works in righteousness: to whom the prize, to whom the punishment. However, the merit of the righteous who obtains the prize, it is a gift of mercy. Instead, the punishment for the reprobate is the work of justice.
Of course Father, what I wanted to say is that she, when he writes (a doctrine confirmed among other things by many Saints and many mystics of the souls in Purgatory) that
“At death, in which the soul separates from the body, God offers Himself clearly for the last time as an object of choice. For the last time He offers his saving mercy. It’s the last chance. If mercy is refused, justice remains, that is, damnation. At this point, the soul can choose with total certainty... unlike what happened in earthly life, during which, for the darkness of existence and the oscillation of the will, could always question the choice made".
It confirms that hell is TOTALLY the work of free will and that no one ends up there except by their own will.. In that moment (that is, before the soul leaves the body definitively, since after true death there is no repentance or change possible) the soul decides whether to let itself be irradiated by the Mercy of God and therefore die in a state of Grace or whether to reject Him and condemn itself to be judged according to justice.
Therefore God does not damn anyone but it is man who condemns himself to damnation, choosing to be judged justly.
BOOK SIXTH?
In other words that is the moment of “fundamental option” vera, the moment where, before God, you can make the same choice as the angels, than by knowing Him directly, at the beginning of Creation, some chose to accept His love, others to reject Him by enclosing themselves in their pride.
Therefore God gives everyone the opportunity to be saved, no one excluded, but the fools who put their pride before everything and will reject the Supreme Good despite seeing Him face to face in all His loveliness will damn themselves with a definitive choice.
This, moreover, is the only doctrine that reconciles the existence of hell and the fact that it is not empty with the infinite goodness of God. God loves us infinitely more than an ordinary father loves his children, for which he would also throw himself into the fire.
No father would ever condemn his children to eternal punishment, therefore not even God can do it since he loves infinitely more than any other father.
Can't do it, since we know for sure that damnation exists, that it can only be TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY the work of free will, and certainly not linked, for example, to the contingency of a sudden death.
I wanted to say that God does not damn anyone but it is man who chooses to damn himself.
After all, if he loves his children infinitely more than any human father, he will never be able to damn them, since no human father would do that.
A father loves his children to the point of giving his life for them and would never condemn them to eternal punishment.
God loves His children infinitely more than any human father.
Ergo damnation is the exclusive work of man, who freely chooses to damn himself by refusing to let himself be irradiated by Mercy before the soul leaves the body and to die in a state of Grace.
On the other hand, this is the only way to reconcile the certainty of the existence of hell with the infinite goodness and mercy of God..
Is everything correct or have I misunderstood something?
I can help support Father Cavalcoli's theses with a quote that simultaneously disproves Luther and his followers “fanatics” of a blind and caricatural mercy? E’ the following:
“But someone might say: “You have faith and I have works”. Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by works. You believe there is only one God? You are right: even demons believe and shudder.” (Giacomo 2, 18-19)
So: even demons “they believe”, “they have faith” in one God, that is “they know” that there is only one God; but rejecting God, they have no active faith, “industrious”, that is “they do not have true faith”, that is “they don't have faith”. And so they shudder.
