“Gratitude and love of God”? Out of question l’ “love Gods”, while on the “free” it is best to evaluate and avoid if necessary. A new look of The Island of Patmos
THANK YOU AND THE LOVE OF GOD ? IT IS OUT OF DISCUSSION L’GODS LOVE, WHILE ON FREE IT IS WELL TO EVALUATE AND AVOID IF APPROPRIATE. A NEW LOOK OF THE ISLAND OF PATMOS
Many just need a mobile phone in their hands and an Internet connection to believe that culture and knowledge should be free, if not worse: that they are due. Like this, everything that doesn't have a cost risks becoming entertainment, if not worse, a source of quarrel and aggression on the part of serial haters and internet brawlers.

Dear Readers,
the 20 October this magazine he accomplished 10 years of journalistic activity. I Editorial Fathers they would have liked to all get together to celebrate, but commitments of various kinds in different parts of Italy did not allow this. They have been ten very beautiful years, of continuous growth and increase, without ever knowing bending. From 1 January 2024 to date we have already exceeded the 30 millions of visits.

During the last meeting the Council of Editions The Island of Patmos Onlus, owner of this magazine, confirmed Dr. Jorge Facio Lince in the role of president of the Association and me as director of the newspaper The Island of Patmos.
The year was 2011, when I went to visit an elderly priest and brought him my book as a gift And Satan became triune. Analysis on the Third Millennium Church. The old man told me:
«I thank you and I will read your book, but I'll give you some advice: don't give away your works left and right, what is given as a gift is often not appreciated. Writing certain books takes effort, study and sacrifices of various kinds. Some books can take years of work, if anyone wants to read them, if you buy them".
I treasured that wise teaching also thinking about other implications, perhaps ignored by that elderly man, like the way in which certain writings and works are despised and criticized with insults by more or less anonymous subjects who go crazy for the social media and that they have only read the title of certain articles, at most the subtitle.
Today Michelangelo's Pietà it is placed sheltered behind glass, in order to avoid that some other madman can vandalize it with a hammer like happened in 1972.
To prevent our monumental cathedrals continued to be assaulted by barbarian hordes interested only in getting high selfies, not infrequently even damage, since it didn't cost anything to get in and out, an entrance fee was imposed to overcome such problems.
For many, a cell phone in their hands is enough and an Internet connection to believe that culture and knowledge should be free, if not worse: that they are due. Like this, everything that doesn't have a cost risks becoming entertainment, if not worse, a source of quarrel and aggression on the part of serial haters and internet brawlers.
The Fathers of the Island of Patmos they have thus decided to put a "ticket" in the form of an annual subscription to access all those theological and current affairs articles that require particular work, time and dedication. The cost of the subscription is 5 € per month, for a total of 60 euro per year. The proceeds will be used to pay the living expenses of this magazine of ours which annually amount to 5.200 Euro.
It is usual to say free the amor Dei. It is out of the question L'amor Dei, while on the free it is best to evaluate and avoid if necessary, especially when it is not appropriate, less than ever due. On gratitude, instead, it's better to overlook...
We are grateful to the readers who have supported us over time and we thank in advance those who have understood the meaning, the value and quality that is offered, they will want to contribute by supporting the magazine.
