The webmaster Manuela Luzzardi, this “Mother” from The Island of Patmos, creator and editor of the site of our magazine and designer of the new site presto on-line

The Island of Patmos has entered its 9th year of activity, since the 20 October 2014 the site of our magazine went online. An idea born from Ariel S. Levi di Gualdo and built together with Antonio Love (1938-2020) and Giovanni Cavalcoli, still member of the scientific committee of our editions.

Everything was possible thanks to the so-called offering of the poor widow [cf.. LC 12, 41-44], because our Association set up for cultural-religious purposes is financed only with offers from readers and proceeds thanks to the commitment of the president of the editions Jorge Facio Lince, ours webmaster Manuela Luzzardi who also takes care of all the graphics of the covers and books, of our precious editorial proofreader Ettore Ripamonti, to follow with the care of the book promotion edited by Licia Oddo, in addition to us Fathers who carry out our publishing activity as editors and writers.

We never would have imagined the success we have enjoyed. We did not take long to notice when between the end of 2015 and early 2016 we began to have problems with the server which began to freeze due to the high number of visits. Like this, always thanks to the help of the readers, we managed to rent a dedicated server on one of the safest American platforms, but also expensive (A2 Hosting Inc. Miami – Florida).

The 30 November 2018 the homonymous ones came to life Editions The island of Patmos, which offer high quality content works to a so-called “niche” audience, printing and graphics.

In the last five years (2017-2021), we have passed i 100 millions of visits, equivalent to 20 million visits per year, 1.700.000 visits per month, 60.000 visits a day.

After eight years of activity it was time to completely overhaul the site hosting this magazine, which required a great deal of effort, especially for the large archive memories and the various services and programs we use for our work.

We usually ask readers for a contribution once a year, when we have to pay the dedicated server and renew the various subscriptions. This time we ask you for help to cover the costs of the new website of the magazine. We know everyone is asking, even the last of the amateur blogs dedicated to gossip o al science fiction conspiracy apply for contributions. But, those who intend to donate or support a work, rather than just saying “… But everyone asks”, will surely be able to evaluate and distinguish who “plays” by those who work hard like us to spread the culture of the Catholic faith and correct information.

Friday 28 January this site will be blacked out and unreachable for the time necessary to put the new one online, approximately two or three days. Meanwhile, we are certain and confident to receive your free offers during these days to support this expense made to offer our readers services of ever-increasing quality..
