The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a symbol, his ascension to heaven is a symbol, Pentecost is a symbol… everything is a symbol.

What the lay faithful must think when he hears the celebrant define it as the Resurrection, the Ascension, the Pentecost, they are only symbols, or to put it better in the words of one of the many preachers: "... we cannot think that after a while Jesus went up to heaven, no. I ask for advice. Canonically how a faithful one should behave – in spite of himself – he must listen to this kind of homilies or other sociological and political ones that are not very or very crazy? Or he must attend and participate – with great discomfort – to others “Announcements” liturgical? Talk to the celebrant, at the end of the Mass? Report the circumstance to the Bishop? Pray for the priest's repentance?
Or, simply, change the time of Mass with a different celebrant or attend a different parish?
It also happens that a priest, however, always strictly faithful to the missal, “forget” the recitation of the Creed, in the embarrassment of the faithful.
