One could attempt a defense by stating that even heterosexuals are narcissists, vain and exhibitionists like Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi. It is true, but as any specialist in psychological science can explain, it is two completely different ways of manifesting narcissism, vanity and exhibitionism. It is in fact from the different ways of manifesting these three attributes that the personality of the homosexual and that of the heterosexual is recognized more than ever.

First of all a premise: if tomorrow the Ecclesiastical Authority addresses to me only one warning, I must remember that, to do so legitimately and in conformity with canon law, I must first declare the full legitimacy and opportunity of the action of Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, that at the exhibition The celestial bodies: fashion and Catholic imagination [cf. HERE, HERE], held in New York, allowed the display of sacred vestments taken from the historic sacristies of the Vatican City and belonged and worn by the  Supreme Pontiffs. The symbols of our faith are thus finished mixed on a catwalk of half-naked women.

It is certainly not my intention to refuse any warning from the legitimate ecclesiastical authority, to whom, before receiving the Sacrament of the Order, I freely promised a filial and devoted obedience. However, since the object of my criticism is the public behavior of a Cardinal, it is good to clarify that I can be warned, and later also condemned, only after the Ecclesiastical Authority has first declared legitimate and in conformity with the dignity and sacredness of the Holy Roman Church the act of Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, whom I criticized with a hardness proportionate to the action he performed. Otherwise, any provision against me will fall into that invalidity that would render it void, since it does not respect the provisions of the ecclesiastical laws [can. 1339-1340, can. 1341-1353, can. 1720-1728].

Today the cleaning of the archives of the episcopal palaces, of those of the apostolic nunciatures and of the Holy See itself is very fashionable. Therefore, if in Milan they did not clean the archiepiscopal archive, there should always be a dossier in which the then archbishop, Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, blocked the episcopal promotion of Gianfranco Ravasi, face already known to the general public for his presence in television. Another veto to this episcopal promotion was given by another Cardinal, the Cardinal Attilio Nicora, who was a companion in the seminary of Gianfranco Ravasi, ordained priest in 1966. Subsequently, a third Cardinal, the successor of Carlo Maria Martini on the Chair of Saint Ambrose, the Cardinal Dionigi Tettamanzi, has blocked for the second time this episcopal promotion [see the chronicle never denied HERE and HERE].

The Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, whose theology and ecclesiology can be widely discussed, was nevertheless a deeply virile man. So much so that in this figure, undoubtedly beautiful and hieratic, the human structure of the virile man was represented on which, therefore, the Jesuit, the priest and the bishop had been built. And saying “no” to the hypothesis that Gianfranco Ravasi was promoted to the bishop, Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini knew very well all the reasons that in the ecclesiastical world are never deepened too much. However, the fact remains that three cardinals, two of whom bishops of the then Ambrosian priest Gianfranco Ravasi and a third his former seminary companion, strongly opposed his episcopal promotion, blocking him twice. And of all this ― if some documents have not disappeared ― there remain trace both in the archives of the Archiepiscopal Curia of Milan and in that of the Congregation for Bishops.

The Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi embodies that devastating homosexualism now widespread as an epidemic within the Church, which reaches its peak with the inevitable desecration; a desecration that has reached the point of extracting from the monumental sacristy of the Vatican City the sacred vestments belonging to the various Venerable Pontiffs, to bring them as choreographic accessories to an offensive parade, among young half-naked girls wearing the symbols of the sacred episcopal order.

The sacred vestments are part of what are known as “external accidents” and are called sacred because they are used for the celebration of the Sacred Mystery of the Eucharistic Sacrifice. These vestments, as Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi should know, have been blessed with the appropriate blessings provided for by the blessing ritual. Every time they were worn, a prayer was recited on each piece. Just as I do today when I get dressed for Holy Mass, mentally reciting the prayer for each piece worn. Completely clothed with sacred garments, I recite the act of contrition, so that, although I am imperfect, sinner and unworthy of the Sacred Priestly Order received, I may celebrate the Eucharistic Sacrifice of Holy Mass in communion with the universal Church for edification and the salvation of the People of God.

Who like me ― rightly never elected bishop and never created cardinal ―, lives the mysteries of faith in the sacred respect of their divine substance and also of those external events that contribute as such to the substance itself, including the sacred vestments, in what way accept these “bullshit” by cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi?

Why, the Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Metropolitan Archbishop of New York, in whose canonical jurisdiction this irreverent parade took place, did he not raise his voice to express disagreement and indignation, promptly sending a note of protest to the Holy See? But for the simple fact that he himself was present, and because he himself expressed himself ironically, as an eighteenth-century Irish drunk who had come to the New World to escape a penal colony. Jokingly, the cardinal replied to the journalists that the episcopal miter worn by the beautiful girl was hers and that he himself had lent it to the girl:

“I gave the girl the episcopal miter, she gave it back to me this morning … she was very kind, my auxiliary bishops made fun of this story, but I told them:” Hey, you guys should not complain because in exchange for my courtesy, the singer has offered to make some confirmations “» [see the statements reported, HERE].

For years and years I have spoken in vain and written of the great scourge of homosexualism within our Catholic clergy. In one of our private speeches, shortly before his death, Cardinal Carlo Caffarra told me:

«… this great wound has now assumed in the Church those which are in all respects the signs of a true epidemic».

I answered these words saying:

«Father Cardinal, as I have written several times: the problem is now dramatic and out of control: these subjects have created a powerful lobby capable of putting their men at the top of the Church, to determine ecclesiastical positions and careers. Today, from homosexual priests of the past, we have come to have homosexual bishops, because those who in the late sixties and early seventies were directing the pious gay brotherhood in the seminaries, today they have become bishops and, as soon as they reach this delicate role, they assume as collaborators similar subjects, and soon after, these subjects, we find them to manage the dioceses inside the episcopal palaces, in the apostolic nunciatures and in the dicasteries themselves of the Holy See.

This powerful and unstoppable lobby, today more than ever, has proliferated the worst of these elements, placing them in the special affairs section of the Secretariat of State or taking them to the Pontifical Council for the new evangelization; and all this is due to what I defined in 2011 as a «universal gay flood unstoppable within the Church».

In March 2013, however, the wind has changed, these subjects have abandoned the gold, silver and the solemn vestments from evening to morning, to cover themselves with the poor and poverty, but continuing as before and worse before, making great careers and entering into delicate positions, even if on them have been collected dossier containing news to say the least disturbing for each candidate for the episcopal dignity. And all those who yesterday had been excluded from the Episcopal elections especially for serious moral reasons, today are becoming bishops one after another; and all today carry the iron cross to the neck and the wooden pastoral stick in their hands, declaring on every occasion that «the poor are the Church’s priority».

At those words, the good cardinal Carlo Caffarra gave me reason a thousand times, then, not even a month later, while I was preparing to return to Bologna on September 18, 2017 to visit him again, after having had a long conversation with him on September 5, the next day, late morning, he was hit by a heart attack and returned to the Father’s House.

.

I would almost be tempted to say: better this way. Many other things have been spared, to him as to others, including this desecrating spectacle during which Donatella Versace, now rendered a monster disfigured by excessive abuse of plastic surgery, in front of Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, appears as an authentic monument to male virility.

Si potrebbe tentare una difesa affermando che anche gli eterosessuali sono narcisisti, vanitosi ed esibizionisti come lo è il Cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi. È vero, ma come qualsiasi specialista in scienze psicologiche può spiegare si tratta di due modi completamente diversi di manifestare il narcisismo, la vanità e l’esibizionismo. È infatti proprio dai modi differenti di manifestare questi tre attributi che si riconosce più che mai la personalità dell’omosessuale e quella dell’eterosessuale.

per molto meno, Gesù Cristo prese a frustate i mercanti nel cortile interno del Tempio di Gerusalemme. Cosa sarebbe accaduto se avesse visto le attricette dell’antica Giudea vestite con le insegne del Sommo Sacerdote?

Anzitutto una premessa: se l’Autorità Ecclesiastica mi rendesse oggetto anche di un flebile ammonimento, desidero ricordare che per farlo in modo legittimo e conforme alle leggi canoniche deve prima dichiarare la piena legittimità e opportunità dell’agire del Cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi, che alla mostra «Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination» [cf. QUI, QUI], svoltasi a New York, ha esposto dei paramenti sacri presi dalle sacrestie storiche della Città del Vaticano ed appartenuti e indossati dai Sommi Pontefici; paramenti finiti mescolati su una passerella di donne che hanno sfilato mezze nude con delle mitrie episcopali in testa e con dei simboli da sempre preziosi alla fede cattolica, posti in rilievo sulle parti più inopportune dei loro corpi, più nudi che vestiti.

Non è certo mia intenzione rigettare eventuali ammonimenti della legittima Autorità Ecclesiastica, alla quale prima di ricevere il Sacramento dell’Ordine Sacro ho promesso liberamente in età più che matura filiale e devota obbedienza. Però, siccome l’oggetto della mia critica è il pubblico comportamento di un Cardinale, è bene chiarire che io posso essere ammonito, ed in seguito persino condannato, solo dopo che l’Autorità Ecclesiastica avrà prima dichiarato legittimo e conforme alla migliore tutela della dignità e della sacralità di Santa Romana Chiesa l’agire del Cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi, dimostrando e motivando che a cadere in errore sono stato invece io per averlo criticato con una durezza proporzionata a ciò che di grave ha fatto lui. Se prima non sarà chiarito questo, ogni ammonimento ― peggio qualsiasi eventuale censura ― ricadrebbe sotto quella invalidità che la renderebbe nulla, poiché non conforme a quanto disposto dalle leggi ecclesiastiche [can. 1339-1340, can. 1341-1353, can. 1720-1728].

Partiamo da un fatto: il Cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi si palesa mosso da una psicologia omosessuale. Ciò non vuol dire ― sia chiaro ― che egli abbia mai praticata l’omosessualità, cosa questa che non possiamo sapere, tanto meno affermare, perché questo in coscienza può saperlo soltanto lui. A maggior ragione egli appartiene alla categoria degli omosessuali tutto sommato peggiori: gli omosessuali repressi, quelli che si sono abituati a sfogare gli impulsi della propria libido in altro modo, ed in modo anche parecchio peggiore. Infatti, un ecclesiastico animato da una psicologia strutturalmente omosessuale, prima o poi finirà per dissacrare la fede stessa, specie dopo essersi arrampicato in alto sulla scala gerarchica ed essere infine caduto in quel delirio di onnipotenza che lo porta a pensare di essere un intoccabile al quale tutto è concesso. E, nella psicologia dell’omosessuale ecclesiastico, più o meno represso secondo i diversi casi, i tre elementi che emergono sono il narcisismo, la vanità e l’esibizionismo ostentato e sfrenato.

Domanda: chi, tra le nostre Autorità Ecclesiastiche, dinanzi ad una equipe indipendente di specialisti in psicologia clinica, se la sentirebbe di affermare in piena e scientifica certezza che Gianfranco Ravasi non è narcisista, non è vanitoso e non è esibizionista?

Oggi va molto di moda la pulizia degli archivi vescovili, di quelli delle nunziature apostoliche e di quelli della stessa Santa Sede. Pertanto, se anche a Milano non avessero fatta nel mentre pulizia allo scopo di ripulire una delle tante “fedine penali”, dovrebbe esistere sempre un fascicolo nel quale l’allora Arcivescovo in cattedra, il Cardinale Carlo Maria Martini, bloccò la nomina episcopale di Gianfranco Ravasi, volto già noto al grande pubblico per le sue rubriche televisive. A porre un deciso veto su questa nomina episcopale fu anche un altro membro del Collegio Cardinalizio, il Cardinale Attilio Nicora, che di Gianfranco Ravasi, ordinato sacerdote nel 1966, fu compagno presso il Seminario di Venegono, di cui in seguito divenne rettore nel 1970. Successivamente, un terzo Cardinale, il successore di Carlo Maria Martini sulla Cattedra di Sant’Ambrogio, Dionigi Tettamanzi, bloccò per la seconda volta questa nomina [vedere la mai smentita cronistoria QUI e QUI].

Faccio notare che il Cardinale Carlo Maria Martini, sulla cui teologia ed ecclesiologia si può anche molto discutere, era però un uomo profondamente virile. Tanto che in questa figura, indubbiamente bella e ieratica, per prima cosa si coglieva per l’appunto l’uomo virile, poi, dalla struttura umana dell’uomo virile, si coglieva quella del religioso gesuita, del presbitero e del vescovo che vi era stato costruito sopra. E dicendo di “no” all’ipotesi che Gianfranco Ravasi fosse promosso vescovo, il Cardinale Carlo Maria Martini sapeva bene il fatto suo, anche se per pudore ecclesiastico, le motivazioni di certi “no”, non sono mai approfondite più di tanto. Resta comunque il fatto che tre Cardinali, due dei quali Ordinari Diocesani dell’allora Presbìtero ambrosiano Gianfranco Ravasi, ed un terzo che fu suo ex compagno di seminario, si opposero in modo deciso alla sua nomina episcopale, bloccandola per ben due volte. E di tutto questo ― salvo sparizioni di documenti ―, resterebbe traccia sia presso l’archivio della Curia Arcivescovile di Milano, sia presso quello della Congregazione per i Vescovi.

Il Cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi incarna quel devastante omosessualismo diffuso ormai come un’ epidemia all’interno della Chiesa, la quale tocca infine l’apice con quella inevitabile dissacrazione giunta sino al punto di tirar fuori dalle sacrestie monumentali della Città del Vaticano i paramenti sacri appartenuti a diversi Venerati Sommi Pontefici, per portarli come accessori coreografici ad una offensiva sfilata, in mezzo alle fotomodelle scosciate con i seni al vento che indossano le insegne episcopali.

I Paramenti sacri rientrano in quelli che sono i cosiddetti “accidenti esterni” e si chiamano sacri perché usati per la celebrazione del Sacro Mistero del Sacrificio Eucaristico. Questi paramenti, come il Cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi dovrebbe sapere, sono stati benedetti con le apposite benedizioni previste dal Benedizionale. Ogni volta che erano indossati, su ciascun pezzo era recitata un’apposita preghiera. Proprio come tutt’oggi fa il sottoscritto quando si para per la Santa Messa, recitando mentalmente la prevista preghiera per ogni singolo pezzo indossato: l’amitto, il camice, il cingolo, la stola, la pianeta o la casula. Una volta completamente rivestito dei sacri paramenti, recito infine l’atto di contrizione, affinché per quanto imperfetto, peccatore e come tutti indegno del Sacro Ordine Sacerdotale ricevuto, possa celebrare il Sacrificio Eucaristico della Santa Messa in comunione con la Chiesa Universale per la edificazione e la salvezza del Popolo di Dio.

Chi come me ― giustamente mai eletto vescovo e mai creato cardinale ―, vive i misteri della fede nel sacro rispetto della loro divina sostanza ed anche di quegli accidenti esterni che concorrono come tali alla sostanza stessa, inclusi i paramenti sacri, in che modo può recepire certe trovate dissacranti del Cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi?

Come mai, il Cardinale Timothy Dolan, Arcivescovo metropolita di New York, nella cui giurisdizione canonica si è svolta questa dissacrante parata, non ha fatto sentire la propria voce esprimendo disaccordo e indignazione, inviando prontamente una nota di protesta alla Santa Sede? Ma per il semplice fatto che non solo lui stesso era presente, ma si è persino cimentato in ironie degne di un ubriacone irlandese del XVIII secolo emigrato nelle Nuove Americhe per sfuggire da una colonia penale, affermando che alla maggiorata scosciata la mitria che potava sulla testa l’aveva prestata proprio lui:

«La mitria gliel’ho prestata io, me l’ha restituita stamattina … È stata molto gentile. I miei vescovi ausiliari mi stavano prendendo in giro per questa storia ma io ho detto loro: “Ehi, voi ragazzi non dovreste lamentarvi perché la cantante in cambio della cortesia si è offerta volontaria per fare alcune conferme”» [vedere le dichiarazioni riportate, QUI].

Sono anni e anni che inutilmente parlo, scrivo e pubblico sulla gran piaga dell’omosessualismo all’interno della Chiesa, che com’ebbe a dirmi durante uno dei nostri ultimi colloqui il Cardinale Carlo Caffarra poco prima della sua morte:

«… questa piaga ha ormai assunto quelli che in tutto e per tutto sono i connotati di una vera e propria epidemia».

.

Dal canto mio replicai:

.

«Padre Cardinale, come più volte ho scritto: il problema è ormai drammatico e purtroppo fuori controllo. Questi soggetti, all’interno della Chiesa, hanno creata una nutrita e potente lobby in grado di piazzare i propri uomini, di determinare nomine e carriere ecclesiastiche. Ma soprattutto, dai preti omosessuali, ormai siamo passati ai vescovi omosessuali. Perché quelli che tra la fine degli anni Sessanta e gli inizi degli anni Settanta capeggiavano all’interno dei seminari la pia confraternita gay, oggi ce li ritroviamo vescovi. E appena giungono in ruoli chiave, per prima cosa si circondano di soggetti affini. E poco dopo, questi soggetti, ce li ritroviamo a gestire le diocesi dentro le curie vescovili, ce li ritroviamo nelle nunziature apostoliche e nei dicasteri stessi della Santa Sede.

Questa potente e inarrestabile lobby, oggi seguita più che mai incontrastata a far proliferare i peggiori di questi elementi, piazzandoli presso la sezione affari speciali della Segreteria di Stato od assumendoli presso il Pontificio Consiglio per la nuova evangelizzazione, il tutto a causa di quello che nel lontano 2011 ebbi a definire come una sorta di inarrestabile «nubifrocio universale scoppiato all’interno della Chiesa».

Appena nel marzo del 2013 è però mutato vento, questi soggetti hanno abbandonato i merletti, gli ori, gli argenti ed i paramenti ricchi e solenni dalla sera alla mattina, per rivestirsi di poveri e di povertà, ma proseguendo come prima e peggio di prima, facendo folgoranti carriere e acquistando delicati posti chiave, pure se su di loro sono stati raccolti nel corso degli anni fascicoli contenenti notizie a dir poco inquietanti per qualsiasi presbìtero da promuovere alla dignità episcopale. E tutti coloro che ieri, dalla nomina episcopale, erano stati esclusi soprattutto per gravi motivi morali, oggi stanno diventando vescovi uno appresso all’altro; tutti con la crocetta di vile ferro al collo ed il pastorale di legno in mano, impegnati a dichiarare ad ogni piè sospinto che «i poveri sono la priorità della Chiesa».

Il buon Cardinale Carlo Caffarra mi dette ragione non una ma mille volte, dopo di ché, neppure un mese dopo, mentre mi stavo accingendo a ritornare a Bologna il 18 settembre 2017 per visitarlo di nuovo, dopo avere avuto con lui un lungo colloquio telefonico il 5 settembre, il giorno dopo, nella tarda mattina, fu stroncato da un infarto.

Sarei quasi tentato di dire: meglio così. Molte altre cose gli sono state risparmiate, a lui come ad altri, compresa questa sfilata dissacrante durante la quale Donatella Versace, resa ormai un mostro sfigurato per l’eccessivo abuso di interventi di chirurgia plastica, dinanzi a quella donzella sacrilega del Cardinale Gianfranco Ravasi figura veramente come un autentico monumento alla virilità maschile.

«Nessuno vi inganni in alcun modo! Prima infatti dovrà avvenire l’apostasia e dovrà esser rivelato l’uomo iniquo, il figlio della perdizione, colui che si contrappone e s’innalza sopra ogni essere che viene detto Dio o è oggetto di culto, fino a sedere nel tempio di Dio, additando se stesso come Dio. Non ricordate che, quando ancora ero tra voi, venivo dicendo queste cose?  E ora sapete ciò che impedisce la sua manifestazione, che avverrà nella sua ora. Il mistero dell’iniquità è già in atto, ma è necessario che sia tolto di mezzo chi finora lo trattiene. Solo allora sarà rivelato l’empio e il Signore Gesù lo distruggerà con il soffio della sua bocca e lo annienterà all’apparire della sua venuta, l’iniquo, la cui venuta avverrà nella potenza di satana, con ogni specie di portenti, di segni e prodigi menzogneri,  e con ogni sorta di empio inganno per quelli che vanno in rovina perché non hanno accolto l’amore della verità per essere salvi. E per questo Dio invia loro una potenza d’inganno perché essi credano alla menzogna e così siano condannati tutti quelli che non hanno creduto alla verità, ma hanno acconsentito all’iniquità» [II Ts 2, 3-12|.
