Yesterday on the feast day of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (to which the Duomo of Milan is dedicated), the solemn Pontifical opening of the new pastoral year was held in the Ambrosian Cathedral, chaired by the Archbishop.
On the occasion, Mons. Mario Delpini also made some clarifications on his words – interpreted by some as controversy – pronounced in Como during the greeting ceremony to Card. Cantons. This is the video:
That Milan does not have a cardinal is simply a shame! The most important diocese in the world after Rome! Such an attitude of contempt towards Milan can only underline even more the miserable coarseness into which the Church has fallen for some years now..
