ORTHODOX: EIB GESTURES BUT NO STEP FORWARD
The gestures of cordiality and respect for the Pope by the Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew, are positive news. But the doctrine on the Holy Spirit and the question of primacy in the Church remain true knots that prevent full unit. And on these words of Bartolomeo not mark any real progress. The jurisdiction of the bishop of Rome comes from dogma and can not be dismissed without committing a grave sin against faith.
