Grandma didn't tell fairy tales, novel by Maria Antonietta Novara Biagini, it starts from late nineteenth and early twentieth century scenarios and then leads the reader into the contemporary world. The Author, with simple and direct language, with compelling storytelling skills, traces in the memory a detailed and articulated succession of family paintings lived in old Genoa and in the nearby coastal towns, to the point of making them grasp their lively atmospheres, its old alleys and the feelings of its people. A century of memories, in fact, of occasional encounters, of happy circumstances and tragic episodes that have affected the numerous members of the family over the years - joys, sufferings and pains of which the grandmother was the protagonist and witness -- personal and family vicissitudes that are strongly intertwined with the Italian historical events of the twentieth century.

She is married to Prof. Emilio Biagini, author of several publications. He has published the volume of short stories The sacred tree (2010), together with her husband the novel The rain of fire (2012) and a volume of clerical satire (2014), made up of stories and one-off acts and illustrated by the painter Elena Pongiglione [Cover: oil on canvas, Roman work of painter Anna Boschini – Vitarte Studio].
