As we had long promised to our Readers, The Island of Patmos will offer you a series of video lessons by the Dominican theologian Giovanni Cavalcoli.

In this first video, shot in May at the splendid Ligurian convent of Varazze, Father John addresses the great theme of the immortality of the soul in relation to the mystery of salvation. God the Father desires that all men can be saved, and offers all means, tools and ways of salvation. God so desired our salvation that he sent his Only Begotten Son to us, the Word of God incarnate.

However, it is necessary to remember, in this era of do-gooders and fakes mercies, that salvation is offered to all, but that not all men will be saved. It gave, who created us free and endowed with free will, will fully respect this freedom of man; free to choose to walk towards eternal bliss, or free to choose to walk towards the flames of Hell [following video …]
